Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics from the beginning, as she discovered her talent for sprinting when she was at Los Angeles Baptist High School. The school placed second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following her first attempt. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003. She was then accepted into University of Southern California to take classes in elementary school. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She established a Junior World Record by doing 200 m in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, defeating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 throughout her events in the Olympics that took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
