Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress who is best recognized for her appearances in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003, she has shown her range in acting performing outstandingly in TV series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her performance in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first one to attract her attention. Her performance in the biographical film All the Way as the feminist activist Fannie Lou Hammer brought her to the notice of the general public. Hind was also praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in WGN America's time-travel drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that 9-1-1 will be renewed for another season. Hind has recently completed shooting on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters that is scheduled to be released in the middle of 2019.
