Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. Doody made her acting debut in a Bond film called A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte on Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modelling after she was approached. The result was that it turned out to be a lucrative career. Doody was extremely determined not to do glamour or nude work. The rule was extended to the acting profession. If she came to the director's attention for an upcoming James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody is listed as a part of John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she appeared alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. In the year 1991, Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. When she moved to Hollywood Doody was famous. She starred as Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody returned to acting in 2003, playing a small performance as a character in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards ceremony. Doody's roles include an appearance in a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. in 2010 Doody played a role of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). The following year, she had been scheduled set to be the main character in The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. The actress began her two seasons on The E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. In November 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award as well as a star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
