Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first trial she took her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished her high school education and was signed to an agreement with Adidas. In the year 2004, she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. The following year, Felix earned the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently in the top three of all events.
